The Sandbox Summit
This may come as a surprise to many but I have to say that the Sandbox Summit was an incredible new addition to CES 2008. With an outstanding as well as diverse variety of exhibitors ranging from product development companies for juvenile games and toys to industry leaders like Symantec Corp, the Sandbox Summit delivered a very unique angle to CES with innovative products which drew a massive amount of attention.
The Sandbox Summit, a project of PARENTS’ CHOICE FOUNDATION, was produced by CLAIRE GREEN, WENDY SMOLEN, and ROBIN RASKIN, veterans of the toy and digital world who have been powerful forces in helping to shape this discussion. The Sandbox Summit served as a launching pad for people to "gain insight into the toys, trends, and products that are shaping the way kids play today." With a variety of top-level speakers and a showcase of the latest high-tech gadgets around, the Sandbox Exhibit itself provided a venue for test-driving the products featured there which will play a part in defining and shaping the behavior and recreational activities of the next generation.
Although the PARENTS’ CHOICE FOUNDATION provides a fee-based product evaluation service. They have similar fundamental concepts as those that are associated with the Positive Image News Product Guide and our sister publication, The Toy Man™ Product Guide, yet they serve the public via a fee-based product evaluation methodology. Despite the difference in our evaluation methodology, the safety and educational security for the next generation is a vital concern for all of us.
The New Alternative
Our goal is to provide not only a viable alternative to fee-based product evaluations, but to make a lasting positive difference for the industry. No one company or organization can provide the perfect solution, but we can at least deliver a methodology in product evaluation that restores the standards of old, where you can trust in the evaluation because it is done with no fees and without bias. The Positive Image News™ Product Guide delivers the detailed and carefully studied product evaluations which buyers and consumers are looking for.
The challenge for manufacturers and PR firms now comes into play. Why continue paying fees for product evaluation which provides a mere hiccup of a summary, when your company can obtain superior detailed and reliable product evaluation in 16 different languages with no fees of any kind? The challenge is there and the decision is up to YOU!
