Getting Into Actual Use

Getting started is so simple. Just plug in the Blue-tooth key, plug the AC adapter into the base/charging unit, and turn the keyboard on! The batteries are already powered up and ready to rock! A most interesting point I discovered was that the touch sensitive volume control pad and touch disc were quite responsive on the Vista enabled notebook computer, yet on the desktop PC, it was just the opposite. We tested on a third desktop PC and the touch sensitive tools worked fine.

While using the MS Media Player, it was absolutely incredible how adjustment of the volume could be handled with the slightest of touch of the volume control pad. The Logitech® diNovo Edge™ really showed it's true capabilities though when we opened up Office 2007 Professional and worked with the various programs in the suite. An immense amount of time is saved with the diNovo Edge™ being used in conjunction with Office 2007 Professional. The keyboard has an additional left-mouse button on the keyboard to allow two handed operation in your scrolling and editing. Best of all, the QWERTY keyboard layout is simple and the keys have just the right feel so that you have minimal fatigue from extended use of the keyboard.

A General Outline Of Special Features

The keyboard has an excellent assortment of hot keys which help you with common tasks such as zooming in on an image, putting the computer into hibernation, pump your tunes via a media player, and of course the usual task of accessing application, but in a much more efficient and prompt manner.

An alternative approach to your features available in the "F" keys appears when you press the "Fn" key. What I discovered was a brilliant concept of an additional function icons which appear above the function keys with a pleasant and subtle orange glow. The added features worked quite well with no glitches. They just take a little getting used to. Overall, the Logitech® diNovo Edge™ Keyboard is a brilliant piece of work that although it is a bit pricey, it is well worth the expense in the long run. You essentially get what you pay for. I recommend this product without hesitation.
