Power Management Over KVM

With Peppercon's Power Management over KVM-Switch-Solutions you are able to control the power supply of multiple computers via an existing KVM Switching infrastructure. As the solution is designed on a single port basis it can be scaled easily whenever you want to add another computer without the limitations normally experienced when using other power control products.

To connect the Power Management device, A PS/2 Pass through device is placed in line with the PS/2 cable from the KVM switch to the keyboard of the Computer.

This device has a cable with a DB9 plug that can then be connected to one of the power management options listed below

Defining The Equipment For Power Management Via KVM

Having the specific equipment necessary to handle consistent power management via KVM is a vital concern.  Peppercon delivers the equipment you need at a cost effective rate.

PM 220-KVM Inline Power Module:

The inline power module makes it possible to start a computer remotely as the ATX power supply of the computer can be configured to start when the current feed is interrupted by this device . The Inline Power Module is available in 110 V and 230 V models. The Module has IEC 320 connectors allowing the use of suitable local power cables which can be fastened to the unit mechanically using the built in cable clip design. The module itself is permanently in a powered on state so it will always remain ON when power returns after a site power failure. The device is controlled by a serial cable connection.

IPMI -KVM Cable:

PCs equiped with a DB9 IPMI V1.5 (Intelligent platform management interface) can be attached over an IPMI cable. Users can remotely control the ATX power supply and the power switch of the unit via IPMI to cold start and restart the system.

IPR-KVM (LARA internal reset/power option)

The internal Power/Reset Option is mounted on a blank card slot bracket and wired into inline with the power and reset switch wires of the computer. This makes the internal RESET and ATX power control signals accessible externally meaning power control to turn the system on or off and also a hard reset can all be achieved remotely.

Peppercon delivers a powerful group of solutions for power management via KVM I strongly recommend you visit http://www.peppercon.com to find out for yourself, how this product can be the solution you need.
