InfoComm 2003
Proves To Be A Trade Show of Mixed Reactions
InfoComm 2003 was a successful
event as it finally came to a close. In our querying a large
number of the exhibitors we received a summary of mixed reactions.
Those who spoke favorably of the trade show expressed they had an
overwhelming number of qualified leads obtained from the attendees.
We also had exhibitors who
were quick to express their discomforts with InfoComm. The
majority seemed to have an issue with lack of traffic. After
monitoring the traffic flow at several of these booths, it was easily
understood why the exhibitors were so distressed. There was next
to nothing in the way of traffic.
Although some exhibitors were
not too happy with the foot traffic at InfoComm, the show overall was
an outstanding event that even though it was useless for some, it's
value to many was still quite prevalent.
Samsung was present with a
magnificent booth layout which debuted their newest products and was
the recipient of the our Editor's Choice Award for "Best of Show".
Their new 40" Plasma Displays were presented in such a manner it was
like walking through an art gallery. The new Samsung LCD
and Plasma screens were strategically placed in such a manner that no
matter what the height of a person, they would find a screen that was
comfortable to examine. Kudos to the folks at Samsung!
Positive Image News,
(PIN), Editor's Choice Awards
Well, InfoComm has come and gone along but as
usual, we the Editor's Choice Awards were given for the most
innovative products and services on the floor. The judging was
difficult with the large number of new innovative products but we did
manage to finally reach a decision and announce our winners. Special
thanks to all exhibitors who submitted products for review and / or
demonstrated equipment for us to consider for inclusion in the
Editor's Choice Award.
The Positive Image News, (PIN), "Editor's Choice
Award" is the original "Editor's Choice". Although since it's
original creation by PIN, it has been adopted by "other" publications,
our Editor's Choice Award still holds it's place as a highly coveted
award Internationally.
If you desire to get more detailed information on
